ISLAMABAD: The Defense Housing Authority (DHA) and Capital Development Authority (CDA) have finally resolved a long-standing issue regarding the allotment of 729 plots.
After years of negotiations, the DHA has issued allotment letters for these plots in favor of the CDA. This breakthrough was announced following a meeting at the CDA headquarters, chaired by Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa and attended by board members and senior officers.
The dispute dates back to 2007-2008 when the CDA handed over 2,412 kanals and five marlas of land to the DHA under an agreement.
As per the original terms, the CDA was to receive 729 plots in exchange, but the agreement remained stalled for over 15 years. Thanks to proactive efforts and a positive approach, the CDA has secured these plots valued at billions of rupees.
Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa hailed the resolution as a major achievement for the CDA, demonstrating its resolve to protect its interests and assets.
The 729 plots will now be offered to the general public and overseas Pakistanis, generating substantial revenue for the CDA and unlocking new development and investment opportunities in Islamabad.
The revenue generated from these plots will be utilized to upgrade the city’s infrastructure, enhance public services, and drive the overall development of the capital. Randhawa praised the efforts of all parties involved in resolving the long-standing issue, marking a significant milestone for the CDA.
With this resolution, the CDA aims to promote growth and progress in Islamabad, benefiting the city’s residents and investors.
