LAHORE: The traffic police have increased fines for riding without helmets across the province. All districts of Punjab have mandated that motorcycle riders wear helmets and access for riders without helmets has been restricted in several major areas.
Chief Traffic Officer Amara Athar has announced the establishment of special checkpoints on major roads. According to the government, violators can face fines of up to 2000 rupees.

To drive home the importance of safety, the traffic police in Lahore have been actively enforcing this rule, issuing an impressive 711,213 tickets to riders caught without helmets since the campaign’s inception.
This crackdown serves as a reminder to prioritize road safety: always wear a helmet while riding to avoid fines and, more crucially, protect yourself from potential harm. Safety should always come first!
