Islamabad: National Highways and Motorway Police issued a statement announcing the closure of Motorway M-1, spanning from Peshawar to Rashakai, and M-14, covering from Havelian to Yarik, due to severe fog conditions. The decision aims to ensure the safety of all traffic participants amidst reduced visibility caused by dense fog.
Jaman, a spokesperson for the Motorway Police, stated that the closure is a precautionary measure to prevent accidents and safeguard the lives and property of those using the motorway.
Citizens are urged to refrain from unnecessary travel during foggy conditions and are advised to complete their journeys in daylight to ensure visibility. The police also recommend the use of fog lights in vehicles for enhanced safety.
