ISLAMABAD: Dr. Zakir Naik, a renowned Islamic scholar, is set to visit Pakistan this year alongside Sheikh Faruk Naik, after receiving an invitation from the Government of Pakistan.
This announcement was confirmed through Dr. Zakir Naik’s official social media account.
Dr. Zakir Naik’s visit will speak to people in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. The schedule includes:
Karachi: October 5-6
Lahore: October 12-13
Islamabad: October 19-20
Dr. Naik had previously expressed his desire to visit Pakistan during a podcast with a Pakistani YouTuber, where he shared that his initial plans to visit in 2020 were thwarted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
When questioned about why he chose Malaysia over Pakistan after leaving India, Dr. Naik explained that while it would have been easy for him to relocate to Pakistan given his popularity, he chose to prioritize a principle of Shariat that advises tolerating small losses to avoid greater ones.
It’s worth noting that Dr. Naik is the founder and president of the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) and Peace TV, and has been recognized for his efforts with awards such as the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work, Dubai International Holy Quran Award, and King Faisal Prize. His work focuses on comparative religion, and he has delivered over 4,000 lectures worldwide.
