SWAT: At least four policemen were injured in an explosion that targeted a police vehicle in Malam Jabba Road, Swat, here on Sunday.
According to the details, police officials say that the incident took place in Jehanabad, as a result of which 4 police personnel were injured.
The police spokesman says that the severity of the explosion is not yet known while the police team has reached the scene.
Earlier, at least two police personnel were martyred in an explosion that targeted a police vehicle in Quetta’s Kuchlak area.
The explosion took place near a police vehicle on Bostan Road, resulting in the martyrdom of two policemen. Police officials say the area has been cordoned off and investigations are on.
Last month, at least three people were injured in a loud blast near a university on Quetta Sariab Road.
Police sources confirmed the injuries and said that the attack was carried out by an improvised explosive device (IED).
Police say that the loud explosion was heard far and wide, causing panic in the city. Police officials said that no one has yet claimed responsibility for the blast.
In a separate incident, Marian police station in Bannu was attacked, resulting in the death of a passerby.
According to local police reports, the Station House Officer (SHO) and four other police personnel were injured in the attack, while a passer-by lost his life.
