KARACHI: A massive fire erupted in Karachi’s Clifton area, which engulfed more than 30 parked cars in the wee hours of Monday. The incident occurred in a plot near the Qurtuba Mosque in Clifton Block 1, Sheerin Jinnah Colony.
According to the initial report, the fire suddenly erupted among the abandoned vehicles, quickly escalating to a large blaze, destroying over 30 vehicles.
Three fire brigade vehicles participated in the operation and after approximately one-and-a-half hours of intense efforts, the fire was brought under control. There are no reports of any casualties.
The vehicles involved in the blaze reportedly belonged to the Sindh government, and the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined. The site, which serves as a parking area for over 100 government vehicles, was reportedly left without security personnel, raising questions about the lack of oversight.
