Plane makes emergency landing after mouse found in in-flight meal

STOCKHOLM: A Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) flight from Oslo to Malaga made an unexpected stop in Copenhagen after a mouse escaped from a passenger’s meal.

Citing safety protocols, the airline diverted the flight due to concerns the rodent could potentially damage electrical wiring.

Passengers were re-routed on another aircraft, arriving in Malaga only a few hours behind schedule. According to SAS spokesperson Oystein Schmidt, such incidents are extremely rare, and the airline is reviewing supplier procedures to prevent future occurrences.

Witness Jarle Borrestad described the scene as calm, though he took precautions by covering his pants with socks. This incident follows a recent disruption on a southern England train service, where two squirrels entered a carriage, refusing to leave.
