LAHORE: Defence Police arrested popular Pakistani TikToker Nadeem Mubarak, known as Nadeem Nani Wala, on Monday for displaying a false registration number, “IK 804”, to his vehicle in Lahore.
An official complaint was also lodged in the Defence police station. According to the Defence Police Station House Officer (SHO), Nadeem was apprehended during a routine check near Main Boulevard Defence.
The police seized Nadeem’s vehicle and registered a case against him for illegal use of a fake number plate. This incident highlights the authorities’ efforts to enforce law and order.
Moreover, Imran Khan’s party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has been using “Prisoner No 804” as a rallying cry against his arrest, putting the number 804 firmly on the police radar.
This number holds significance as it’s Imran Khan’s jail ID, symbolizing the party’s resistance against his detention. The PTI has been mobilizing its supporters, leveraging this number to galvanize public opinion and build momentum against Khan’s arrest.
In a separate development, Sindh Police issued a directive prohibiting officers from creating or sharing TikTok content while in uniform.
The circular, signed by SP Headquarters Ahmad Zunair Cheema, emphasized the need for professionalism.
In addition, officers are required to delete existing TikTok accounts and videos to maintain the police force’s reputation. The move aims to address concerns about social media’s impact on officers’ conduct and public image
