Lahore: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has urged supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to cast their votes for the PPP in the upcoming February 8 elections, framing the contest as a battle between ‘the lion and the arrow’.
Addressing a party power show in Lahore, Bilawal highlighted the importance of political engagement over divisive tactics, calling on PTI supporters to reject the politics of abusing rivals and imprisoning them. He expressed empathy for PTI workers facing challenges and attributed the setbacks to Nawaz Sharif’s Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Bilawal emphasized his respect for political workers, citing his own experiences, and assured PTI supporters that he would put an end to revenge politics. Referring to the arrest of PTI workers allegedly involved in attacking military installations since May 9, 2023, Bilawal pledged to bury such practices.
