DUBAI: The UAE is set to reveal new petrol prices for October next week, following a price reduction in September. Super 98, Special 95, E-Plus 91, and diesel all saw decreases at the pumps.
As of September, the prices were:
- Super 98: AED 2.90 (down from AED 3.5 in August)
- Special 95: AED2.78 a litre from AED2.93 in August
- E-Plus: AED2.71 a litre from AED2.86 in August
- Diesel: AED2.78 a litre from AED2.95 in August
Despite these reductions, E-Plus 91 is now more expensive than at the start of the year, which was AED 2.64.
The fluctuations are influenced by global crude oil prices, with the Fuel Price Committee having lifted price controls in March 2021.
