ISLAMABAD: Following a viral video showing an employee of a local donut store in Islamabad using derogatory remarks to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa, a post shared on X claimed that the store, named Crusteez Donuts, has been sealed.
However, Daily Ausaf confirmed that the store was not sealed after the incident, which happened around 45 days ago.
Several accounts on X, formerly known as Twitter, claimed that the Crusteez was sealed after an employee of the store insulated Chief Justice Isa.
On Sept 25, a social media account posted a picture showing an official sealing the Cruzteez outlet. The picture was accompanied by a caption stating, “Suo Moto taken up at Crusteez Donuts Sealed for Unhealthy Violations — he has committed a 9th May attack. I stand in Solidarity with CRUSTEEZ.”
Fact Check
The manager at Crusteez Donuts told Daily Ausaf that the outlet was indeed sealed but it was the one in F-6 Markaz, Islamabad and it was sealed for the violation of Anti-Dengue SOPs. CJP Isa was lashed out at Crusteez’s Blue Area outlet in Islamabad.
Daily Ausaf also reached out to the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad office which also confirmed the development, saying that the donut store was sealed for violation of Anti-Dengue SOPs.
The picture which went viral on social media following CJP’s incident was initially shared by Deputy Commissioner Islamabad’s official X account on September 11.
The picture was captioned, “Action taken in F-6 for violation of Anti-Dengue SOPs, one person arrested and outlet sealed, DC Islamabad directed to continue strict actions against violators of Anti-Denbgue SOPs.”
