Lahore: In a significant turn of events, Muhammad Waseem, an independent candidate from NA-119, announced his withdrawal from the General Elections 2024 in favor of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Organiser, Maryam Nawaz. During the meeting, Waseem also declared his allegiance to the PML-N, bringing along his colleagues.
Maryam Nawaz, who is herself contesting the elections from NA-119, extended her congratulations to Muhammad Waseem, emphasizing that he has joined the “caravan of development.” She highlighted that despite challenging times, no members left the PML-N during the party’s crisis.
