LAHORE: Ghulam Sagheer Shahid has officially assumed the office of Director General of Public Relations (DGPR) in Punjab. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Additional Director General Abid Noor Bhatti, directors, and other senior officials.
During his first day, Shahid received a comprehensive briefing on various departmental areas, including print, electronic, and digital media, the advertising sector, administration, the technical wing, and other departmental matters. This briefing aimed to familiarize him with the department’s functions and challenges.
Shahid emphasized the importance of diligently highlighting the government’s people-friendly policies and initiatives in the media. He instructed all officers to work tirelessly to promote the government’s achievements and ensure transparency.
Additionally, Shahid advised department heads to pay special attention to their staff’s performance, ensure regular attendance, and take timely actions to resolve departmental issues. This directive aims to boost efficiency and productivity within the department.
