LAHORE: The weather in the provincial capital is likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall starting today till October 1, providing some relief from recent humid weather. The day follows a bright sunshine but as the day passes the grey clouds capture the sky.
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in the city is likely to be 24 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature may go up to 33 degrees Celsius. The humidity level in the air was recorded above 65%. Whereas, the chances of precipitation are up to 10%.
As per the details, Yesterday Laxmi Chowk, Abbott Road, Shimla Pahari, Garhi Shahu, Canal Road, Mall Road, Defence, Ferozepur Road, Peco Road, Ghazi Road, Kalma Chowk and Gulberg received light rain. After the rains, the weather in Lahore turned pleasant and a slight drop in temperature was also recorded, bringing an end to the humid and hot weather.
The Met Office predicts that the weather in most parts of the country will remain hot and dry except, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar region, Islamabad, Lahore, and Kashmir will likely receive a break from harsh weather with moderate to heavy rainfall starting from today.
Residents are advised to carry umbrellas and rain gear if going out for longer periods to avoid any potential harm or damage due to rain.
