RAWALPINDI: Students staged a protest in Rawalpindi against the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024, rejecting the results.
Protestors argued that more than 30 questions were out-of-syllabus in the exam conducted by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU).
The students alleged that the wrong key was issued by the university, and demanded a retake of MDCAT 2024.
The students questioned the integrity of the assessment process and the exam’s fairness, citing a lack of transparency. They demanded immediate action from educational authorities to address their grievances and ensure that future examinations strictly adhere to the syllabus.
To address these issues, the students called for a thorough review of the MDCAT and requested a fair opportunity to showcase their skills without being hindered by out-of-syllabus questions.
“The inclusion of out-of-syllabus questions was unfair and stressful. We studied hard, but the exam didn’t reflect our coursework,” said one protester. Another student added, “We demand transparency and accountability in academic assessments. Our future depends on it.”
