ISLAMABAD: Social media users are in a flurry over an interview, uploaded on a private channel, Samaa TV’s YouTube, where a female guest, named Lala Rukh, glamourized Satan and claimed to have a conversation.
Lala Rukh, a Pakistani artist, in a show, The Dark Room, claimed to have abilities like seance — a method to talk with spirits — Telepathy, and the ability to conversate with the dead, demons, and Satan.
During the show, she claimed to have a conversation with Satan, saying that it was the time of Asar when she saw him on her left side just after she ended the Namaz.
Talking about it, she glamorized the devil, saying that “Satan was an elegant middle-aged creature, wearing the grey suit and tie, unlike the character shown in the Lucifer TV Series.”
She further said that I could even explain his appearance in a sketch. Lala Rukh said that Satan smiled and tried to seduce her into falsehood, saying, “You have tried enough asking god in Sujood, now try once from me.”
The interview sparked criticism against the private channel, owned by former PTI leader Aleem Khan. A user, named Nouman Saeed Mustafai, said that the channel has started promoting Satanism and Polytheism.

Taking on X, he wrote, “The channel management is promoting polytheism and Satan worship. The claims of Lala Rukh are glamourizing, asking for help from Satan instead of Allah Almighty, and what a shameful thing “TV channel” is allowing this to happen.”
Another user sharing a video on X, wrote, “We had heard that the devil is very mean and today after seeing this woman it confirmed. This dirty woman called Shaitan the best. Curse the “private channel” who are promoting Satanism”

It is pertinent to mention that, this is not the first time, this aforementioned channel’s digital wing, headed by former Chairman PEMRA Absar Alam, faced criticism. Before that, Sahil Adeem’s controversial show where he remarked against women was reportedly staged and many other clickbait shows based on religious sentiments have remained the adornment of the channel.
