PESHAWAR: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ali Amin Gandapur has issued a statement regarding the protest at D-Chowk in Islamabad on October 4 and said that no matter how long it takes, they will reach D-Chowk.
In his video message, the Gandapur said that the people will break the shackles of fear to protect the Constitution and uphold the rule of law.
He said that they are fighting for real freedom and will continue to fight till they get their rights.
Gandapur condemned the violent actions of the federal government and the Punjab government and said that they are determined to exercise their constitutional rights.
CM KP criticized the illegal possession of private vehicles and warned the owners not to bring their cars on the motorway as they would not be held responsible for any damage.
He further said that the federal and Punjab governments are harassing the vehicle owners to confiscate the vehicles. He said that he will leave Peshawar at 10 am and Swabi at 11 am.
CM Gandapur acknowledged flaws in his previous protest planning, which led to the early withdrawal. He highlighted the lack of proper protective equipment, such as masks, for workers and leaders during tear gas shelling.
This time, Gandapur assured that well-trained workers and necessary equipment would lead the procession to avoid similar problems.
