ISLAMABAD: The Finance Division has extended the last date for encashment, exchange and conversion of Rs. 40,000 Rs.25,000 Rs.15,000 and Rs.7,500 worth of National Prize Bonds (bearer) till 31 December 2024.
As per the details, in a circular, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) informed banks that the deadline for encashment, conversion and redemption of National Prize Bonds (NPBs) which was earlier set to June 30, 2024, has been extended by the federal government.
The central bank also asked the banks to submit branch/region wise consolidated data of NPBs of quoted value held by them as on 31 December 2024, latest by 02 January 2025, vide CMD’s circular no. According to the instructions given. 30 April 2021.
Further, it advised that all commercial banks surrender the referenced prize bonds to the respective SBP BSC office by January 31, 2025.
