COPENHAGEN: Police in Denmark and Sweden said on Wednesday they were investigating attacks around Israeli embassies in their capitals that were fuelled by tensions in the Middle East.
In Denmark, police said three people had been arrested after reports of two explosions in the “immediate vicinity” of the Israeli embassy in Copenhagen early Wednesday morning.
“Two people were arrested on a train at Copenhagen Central Station. In addition, earlier in the day we arrested one person elsewhere in Copenhagen,” police said in a post on the X social media platform.
Swedish police have confirmed that the Israeli embassy in Stockholm was hit by gunfire just before 6pm (1600 GMT) on Tuesday.
No one was reported injured in both the incidents.
