ISLAMABAD: A recent survey conducted by the Estate Office and Intelligence Bureau in Islamabad has uncovered significant policy and condition violations among government house allottees.
The survey, which began on May 11 and lasted five months, inspected 4,700 government houses using three teams.
In response to these findings, the Estate Office Islamabad successfully vacated 268 houses, including 101 from categories one to four and 167 from types A to I.
This survey was initiated by the federal cabinet on April 26, 2024, instructing the Ministry of Housing and Construction to collaborate with the Intelligence Bureau and identify instances of illegal occupation and construction.
The Ministry of Housing and Works oversees the Estate Office, which is responsible for allocating government-owned accommodations to federal government employees.
