RAWALPINDI: The Saudi Investment delegation, led by Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, accompanied by a high-level government delegation, met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, in Rawalpindi.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, (ISPR), the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, particularly initiatives to strengthen evergrowing brotherly bilateral cooperation in a variety of sectors.
Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir (COAS) expressed gratitude for King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s unwavering support for Pakistan, highlighting the enduring relations between the countries, the statement added.
Moreover, He underscored the deep respect and affection that the people of Pakistan hold for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
COAS further assured the delegation of Pakistan’s full support and commitment and conveyed his optimism for the promising outcomes that would mutually benefit both nations.
Earlier, the delegation met with President Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad, who reaffirmed Pakistan’s respect for King Salman and commitment to solidarity with Saudi Arabia.
President Zardari praised Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s leadership and Saudi Arabia’s progress under Vision 2030.
Al-Falih acknowledged Pakistan’s strategic geographical significance and natural resource potential, recognizing opportunities for cooperation.
The meetings aimed to foster stronger ties and mutual benefits between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Investment Minister landed in Pakistan on Wednesday for a three-day visit.
As per the details, the Saudi delegation’s visit to Pakistan is expected to result in the signing of investment agreements worth $2 billion between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
