KARACHI: Sindh Police has collaborated with the National Police Foundation (NPF) to provide free electric motorcycles and cheap plots to employees up to the rank of Inspector.
This was announced at a gathering held at the police headquarters in Garden South. In which IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, Additional IG Karachi, Zonal DIGs, District SSPs besides officers, officials and Managing Director of NPF Irfan Zaman participated.
Speaking on the occasion, Zaman said that the objective of NPF is the welfare of the police. The foundation will cover the first down payment of plots for personnel, and it will contribute Rs 50,000 for the first 2,000 plots in the police housing society.
He revealed that the idea of providing interest-free electric motorcycles in installments is the brainchild of IG Sindh.
In the event, IG Sindh appreciated the efforts of the foundation for the welfare of Sindh Police and said that providing services at half market price is an excellent initiative.
He appreciated the payment of Rs 50,000 by NPF for booking the plot. The IG Sindh expressed his desire to have his own house for every police officer and assured that he will also provide free motorcycles to the Sindh Police.
He further said that 5 billion rupees have been allocated for police health insurance scheme, work on it will be started as soon as the family tree is received from NADRA.
With this scheme, the police personnel of any district of Sindh will be able to get treatment in the best and reputed hospitals of Karachi.
