MELBOURNE: Australia has announced its 14-member squad for the upcoming One-Day Internationals (ODI) home series against Pakistan, starting from November 4 just before the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Pat Cummins, who has been resting since Australia’s T20 World Cup 2024 campaign, is set to return as captain. Cummins had a brief stint in the Major League Cricket this season and has been resting for the past two months.
Other notable inclusions are Marcus Stoinis, who returns to the squad after the 2023 ODI World Cup, and Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head will miss the series due to paternity leave.
The action-packed schedule includes three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) followed by three T20 International matches, taking place from November 14 to 18, 2024.

This series will be Australia’s last ODI assignment before the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan, and chairman of selectors George Bailey emphasized its importance in preparing for the upcoming Test summer.
“We view this as an opportunity to expand on that achievement in preparation for next February in Pakistan,” the Chairman selector stated while referring to the Champions Trophy set to be hosted by Pakistan next year.
