Democratic primary in New Hampshire is won by US President Joe Biden.
“Despite Joe Biden’s absence from ballot, Granite Staters still turned out in robust numbers,” the party’s chairman said
Though he was not there as the party’s chairman, US President Joe Biden prevailed in the Democratic primary in New Hampshire on Tuesday. Ray Buckley called the outcome “overwhelming”.
“Despite President Biden’s absence from the ballot, Granite Staters still turned out in robust numbers to show their support for the great work that the Biden-Harris Administration has done to grow the economy, protect reproductive freedoms, and defend our democracy,” wrote Buckley.

“Once again, New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary made history — and we are proud as ever.”
The Democratic National Committee downgraded early-voting states like Iowa and New Hampshire in favor of states like South Carolina, Nevada, Georgia, and Michigan, which the party claims more accurately represented the party’s diversity. This led to Joe Biden’s decision not to run in the primary, CNN reported.
After the 81-year-old President won an unofficial write-in campaign, Democrats were urged to vote in order to show their support for Biden.
In other news, former president Donald Trump defeated rival Nikki Haley in the New Hampshire Republican primary on Tuesday.
In New Hampshire earlier today, Donald Trump reaffirmed his support by declaring that the people “are going to all vote for me again.”
Haley announced that she is continuing in the contest after congratulating the former president on his victory.
“Tonight, I would want to congratulate Donald Trump on his triumph. “I want to acknowledge that he earned it,” stated the 52-year-old former governor of South Carolina.

However, she noted that there are still several states to vote, thus the campaign is “far from over”.
“I have good news for everyone: New Hampshire leads the country in this category. It’s not the last in the country,” Haley remarked.
In response to the former president’s victory, the campaign of President Joe Biden declared on Tuesday that Donald Trump had “all but locked up” the GOP candidacy for 2024 as a result of the outcome of the Republican primary.
Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez released a statement saying, “Tonight’s results confirm Donald Trump has all but locked up the GOP nomination, and the election-denying, anti-freedom MAGA movement has completed its takeover of the Republican Party.”
The press release further stated: “Donald Trump is headed straight into a general election matchup where he’ll face the only person to have ever beaten him at the ballot box: Joe Biden.”
