ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s textile exports grew by over 17 percent in September 2024, according to trade data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), here on Thursday.
According to the data, the country’s textile exports increased by 17.6 percent to $1.605 billion in September 2024 compared to $1.364 billion in September 2023.
However, on a month-on-month (mom) basis, textile exports in September 2024 were down 2.4 percent compared to August 2024 at $1.644 billion.
In 1QFY25, textile exports stood at $4.520 billion, up 9.3% from textile exports of $4.134 billion reported in 1QFY24.
In September 2024 textile exports, knitwear accounted for the largest share at $448 million, followed by ready-made garments at $338 million, bedwear at $290 million, and cotton cloth at $201 million.
