ISLAMABAD: Authorities have banned the use of tinted glass sheets and fancy number plates for vehicles in the federal capital.
According to the authorities, the sale and purchase of flasher lights has been banned and strict action will be taken against the violators.
It may be recalled that the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) had issued a total of 577,836 challans for traffic violations in the federal capital till September 2024 this year.
It revealed that people were fined Rs 48 million for violating traffic rules and more than 951 FIRs were registered in various police stations for serious violations.
Similarly, Rawalpindi Traffic Police also released data for a special campaign focused on public service vehicles plying from August 25, 2024 to September 12, 2024.
During the campaign, traffic officials issued 3,803 challans for violations, imposing a fine of Rs 4.1 million.
