KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has invited the Argentine football team to visit the Lyari area of Karachi, which is famous for its football culture.
As per the details, in the meeting with Ambassador of Argentina, Sebastian Sais, the strengthening of bilateral relations between Sindh and Argentina was discussed. According to the chief minister’s spokesperson, it was agreed that the Argentinean investors would visit Sindh soon to interact with the relevant departments.
Chief Minister Shah highlighted the profitable investment opportunities in Karachi’s water projects. He said that the Sindh government has received 50 million dollars from the World Bank for projects to treat salt water. He encouraged private investors to participate in treating seawater for urban supply.
Ambassador Seuss said that Argentine stock exchange companies are interested in investing in Sindh, especially in setting up warehouses. The Chief Minister directed the Investment Department, Food Department and Irrigation Department to liaise with the Ambassador of Argentina.
In a move to promote cultural and sporting ties, Chief Minister Shah invited the Argentine football team to the Kukri Ground in Lyari. During the meeting, it was decided that along with the investment initiatives, a football team will also be developed in Sindh in which the main players of the Argentine national team will participate in the training matches in Lyari.
