QUETTA: The seismological center stated that a 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck on Thursday morning, causing vibrations to ripple over the city. The Zhob in Balochistan and its environs were also impacted by the earthquake.

The earthquake’s epicenter was situated 123 kilometers north of Zhob. Information regarding the magnitude and effect of the earthquake activity is being investigated.

According to reports, authorities are keeping an eye on the situation in the impacted areas for any possible repercussions.

Earlier this month, at the beginning of the month, 4.9-magnitude earthquakes were recorded in Islamabad, the federal capital, and the surrounding territories.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 137 kilometers deep along the border between Afghanistan and Tajikistan. Fearful residents fled their homes and began reciting Kalma Tayyaba as a result of the seismic activity.
