MULTAN: A local court in Multan has granted a seven-day physical remand of popular TikToker and YouTuber Hakeem Shehzad to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for uploading objectionable content on social media.
Shehzad, who is married to renowned social media personality Dania Shah, was arrested by the FIA’s cybercrime team from Shujaabad on Wednesday.
Dania Shah, who was present during the hearing, was previously married to the late Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain, a prominent television anchor and Islamic scholar.
According to the FIA, Shehzad allegedly spread rumors about the rape of a private college student and uploaded content inciting hatred toward law enforcement agencies.
Hakeem’s arrest stems from a viral video where he questioned another TikToker, Chacha Siraiki, about an alleged incident at a private college in Lahore, prompting an inappropriate response. Shehzad later apologized for his comments on social media.
The FIA requested the physical remand to recover additional controversial videos and apprehend accomplices involved in the case. Shehzad is well-known on TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook, where he often promotes self-made medical remedies.
