ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday met the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, on the occasion of the future investment initiative.
According to the statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, during the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed good wishes for the health and well-being of King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
He also highlighted the importance of deep brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and appreciated the Kingdom’s support for Pakistan’s economic recovery and stability.
Prime Minister Shehbaz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed various aspects of bilateral engagement, particularly following the decisions taken in the previous high-level meetings held in Makkah and Riyadh in April 2024.
Referring to Pakistan’s economic, institutional and policy reform agenda, the Prime Minister of Pakistan said that Saudi Arabia has a central role in Pakistan’s future economic plans.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also appreciated the Kingdom’s efforts to promote regional peace and stability in the Middle East and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to stand with the Kingdom in these efforts.
The two leaders discussed regional developments and agreed to close coordination on regional issues.
