ISLAMABAD: Renowned Islamic scholar, Dr. Zakir Naik, has expressed his profound gratitude to the people and government of Pakistan for their exceptional hospitality during his recent visit to Pakistan.
Dr. Naik, who the Ministry of Religious Affairs invited, thanked Allah for the successful trip and acknowledged the efforts of the Pakistani authorities.
“I thank Allah that the visit to Pakistan was a success. I thank the government of Pakistan, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the Federal Minister, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, as I came on their invitation,” Dr. Naik said.
Dr. Naik also expressed gratitude to the Federal Government, including the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, the Punjab Government, the Chief Minister of Punjab, Provincial Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique, and the Governor of Sindh Kamran Tessori.
In addition, he noted that the reception was even warmer than expected, and the government made exceptional arrangements.
“I was welcomed in Pakistan 10 times more than I imagined. I have been going to many countries for years and met thousands of Pakistanis,” Dr. Naik said, comparing his experience to his numerous visits to other countries.
Dr. Naik informed that his visit to Pakistan was his first official one, although he had visited the country earlier in 1991. He expressed his gratitude to the people and religious institutions for their love and hospitality, which he found unparalleled compared to his hundreds of visits to other countries.
“Pakistan is the only country which was established in the name of Islam. The scholars and politicians should have a close relationship; the rulers and the scholars should be on the same page for the development of the country,” Dr. Naik emphasized.
Dr. Naik stressed the importance of unity among Muslims, citing the Quran and Sunnah as guiding principles. He highlighted the challenges faced by the Muslim community and emphasized the need for collective efforts to promote peace, unity, and interfaith harmony.
“Islam is a religion of peace, love, and brotherhood,” Dr. Naik said, reiterating his life’s mission to highlight Islam’s true message to the world.
Dr. Naik’s visit to Pakistan included meetings with prominent figures, including National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, to discuss challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah and the significance of interfaith harmony.
Overall, Dr. Naik’s visit to Pakistan was marked by warmth, hospitality, and a renewed emphasis on unity and cooperation among Muslims.
