ISLAMABAD: Pakistani singer Aima Baig has hit back at fellow singer Sara Raza Khan after Sara said that Aima would not be successful without Auto Tune.
The comments were made during an interview to a private TV channel, where Sara said, “If we take out the auto-tune option, Aima Baig is not a singer at all. There are many other names.”
In response, Aima started re-sharing Instagram Stories from her supporters who posted videos of her singing, highlighting her talent. In one of her stories, Aima wrote: “Allah Na Jasku Jeetna Dia Talent [Brother] Humin Kabul. The rest is mine – who is this aunty Sahiba? Actually Miss Karao. Enjoy your holiday from Mai. LOL.” Translated That is, “We accept the ability that Allah has given us. By the way, someone tell me who is this aunty? Actually never mind, I should be enjoying my vacation.
Since her debut in 2016, Aima Baig has become one of Pakistan’s most popular playback singers, receiving numerous accolades including the Tamgha Fakhr Imtiaz. She has worked with renowned musicians like Asim Azhar, Ali Zafar, Ali Sethi, and Sahir Ali Baga. His songs have also been featured in several hit films, including “Lahore Se Aagay,” “Na Maloom Afraad 2,” “Teefa in Trouble,” and “Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2.
