SANGHAR: In Sanghar area, one of the largest districts of Sindh, a man killed his family for not allowing a love marriage with a girl.
The incident took place in Ali Jan Murree area where the suspect got angry and opened fire on the family, killing his mother, two sisters and a brother-in-law.
The accused fled the scene after killing them, police said, adding that raids were on to nab him.
A rescue official said the bodies have been shifted to a hospital for further processing.
This incident is quite different from the usual love marriage incidents in Pakistan where the couple is killed by their family members.
Earlier this year, a couple from Hangu were killed for having a love marriage in the federal capital, Islamabad.
The incident took place in the village of Pind Parian in the limits of Tarnool police station. The victims have been identified as Mardana Bibi and Shoaib.
Officials say the couple had a wedding of their choice, which angered their families. He had secured a shelter in Islamabad but the accused managed to track him down.
The accused killed him with a sharp weapon and fled from the spot. The bodies have been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.
In June, two sisters were killed by their own father, brother and relatives on a love wedding.
