LAHORE: Saudi Arabian oil major Aramco has partnered with Gas and Oil Pakistan Limited (GO) to launch its first fuel station in Pakistan, marking Aramco‘s expansion into the country’s fuel retail market.
The station, located in Lahore’s commercial Gulberg district on Noor Jehan Road, follows Aramco’s recent agreement to acquire a 40 percent stake in GO, paving the way for this strategic move.
At the launch event, local community members and representatives of both companies highlighted the importance of Aramco’s entry into Pakistan’s energy sector.
Yasir M. Mufti, Aramco’s executive vice president of products and customers, described the inauguration as a milestone in the company’s vision for growth in South Asia.
“Our partnership with GO will bring the best quality fuel to Pakistan,” he said, highlighting mutual efforts to deepen trade and investment ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
The launch comes as part of Saudi Arabia’s broader commitment to accelerate its $5 billion investment package for Pakistan, aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.
