RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Metro Bus service has been temporarily suspended from Saddar Station to Faizabad due to essential track repair works, according to the administration.
This disruption aims to ensure the safety and smooth operation of the service. However, passengers traveling from Islamabad’s IJP Road to the Pak Secretariat can continue to use the Metro Bus service without any disruption.
The administration has assured that the Rawalpindi route will resume operations as soon as the repairs are completed.
The ongoing rehabilitation of the Rawalpindi Metro Bus service route, valued at Rs. 718.945 million, is expected to be completed by December.
Significant progress has already been made, with six out of 20 designated sites finished, including upgrades to Shamsabad, Rehmanabad, Waris Khan, and Liaquat Bagh bus stations.
The temporary suspension and ongoing rehabilitation work demonstrate the administration’s commitment to maintaining the quality and efficiency of the Metro Bus service.
Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and use alternative routes where possible. Once completed, the upgraded infrastructure will enhance the overall travel experience and provide a safer, more reliable public transportation system for commuters.
