OTTAWA: Canada has ordered TikTok to cease operations within the country, citing national security risks identified by Canadian intelligence agencies during a comprehensive review.
This move follows earlier steps by the Canadian government to ban TikTok from official devices, mirroring similar actions taken by the US. The government hasn’t outright banned the app, but TikTok must wind down all business activities in Canada.
