ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore has granted bail to Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), in four cases related to arson and destruction.
This decision was made during the hearing of the GHQ attack case. ATC Judge Arshad Javed presided over the hearing, where Imran Khan’s counsel, Barrister Salman Safdar, presented the bail pleas for the four cases stemming from the May 9 incidents.
Judge Javed emphasized the need to move forward with the bail applications, stating that repeated arguments would only waste time.
Following this, the court delivered its verdict, accepting Imran Khan’s bail in the four cases, which included the burning of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) office. The bail was granted in exchange for a bond of Rs 550,000.
Earlier today, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Friday once again deferred the indictment of former prime minister Imran Khan and others accused in the case related to the attack on GHQ Rawalpindi during the unrest on May 9.
