ISLAMABAD: The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has rejected media reports which claimed that the government has increased passport fees.
It said the passport fee structure has not been revised since March 2024, dismissing reports of a fee hike as false.
The directorate said that there has been no change in the fees of all categories since March.
The fee for a 36-page normal passport with a 5-year validity remains unchanged at Rs 4,500, while the urgent processing fee is Rs 7,500.
The fee for a single passport with a 10-year validity is Rs 6,700, with an immediate fee of Rs 11,200.
For a 72-page passport for 5 years, people have to pay Rs 8,200 for normal processing and Rs 13,500 for expedited processing.
For a 100-page passport valid for 10 years, the new fee is fixed at Rs 12,400 for normal category and Rs 20,200 for expedited processing.
In case of loss, the travel document fee will be Rs 9000 for the first time and double and triple in case of second or third loss.
