BRISBANE: Pakistan is set to take on Australia in a three-match T20I series from tomorrow at The Gabba, Brisbane, following the One-Day International (ODI) series victory on Sunday.
Aussies will aim at a comeback in the T20I series after a crushing loss in Perth and Adelaide. While newly-appointed white ball skipper Mohammad Rizwan expressed confidence in maintaining the winning streak.
Australia will be without their star bowlers Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood – all of whom have been rested ahead of the Test series and will be led by interim captain Josh Inglis.
Hosts will also miss the team’s permanent T20 captain Mitchell Marsh and their best T20 opener Travis Head.
Taking advantage, the Green Shirts will look for a rare white-ball series victory in Australia, with the same set of fast bowlers excluding Mohammad Hasnain in the three-match series starting Thursday.
The match will start at 1:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PST) on Thursday at the Brisbane Cricket Ground, commonly known as the Gabba in Brisbane.
