ISLAMABAD: The number of cases registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has reached 186 after PTI’s November 24 protest with most of them registered in Punjab, ABN News reported.
The development came a day after the interior secretary submitted a report to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) stating that Imran Khan has been booked in 14 more cases in the federal capital, bringing the tally from 62 to 76.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard the plea of Noreen Niazi, sister of Imran Khan, seeking details of the cases against her brother.
In response to the petition, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) provided the details regarding the cases. The Interior Secretary also submitted details regarding cases against Imran Khan in other provinces.
According to the report, 99 cases have been registered in Punjab and 2 cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Whereas, the former prime minister is booked in 7 cases with the Federal Investigation Authority, 3 with the National Accoutnrbailty Beaureu (NAB), and one ToshaKhana reference.
