LAHORE: As dense fog continues to interfere with flights, train services, and road traffic in some areas of Pakistan, many motorway portions have been closed. Heavy fog caused some aircraft to be impacted, closing Motorway M-2 in the early hours of the morning. It also stopped traffic on other highways in Punjab and KP.

A spokesman for the Motorway Police claimed that dense fog significantly hampered traffic movement in a number of cities. On Tuesday, traffic was barred from the following motorways: M2 from Lahore to Sheikhupura, M3 from Faizpur to Rajana, and M4 from Gogra to Faisalabad. When commuting within cities, commuters are advised by NHMP officials to take alternative routes. Additionally, highway police have asked individuals to stay at home and refrain from making needless trips.

In the morning, Bahawalpur, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Okara, Kasur, Lahore, Jhang, Sargodha, Toba Tek Singh, Khanewal, Multan, Khanpur, Rahimyar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and the neighboring areas are likely to see shallow to moderate fog.
