ISLAMABAD: In an effort to give recipients financial respite, the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has raised the quarterly stipends of the Benazir Kafaalat program to Rs 10,500 for this year.
“This year’s first quarterly payment, which will be made in the current month of February, will be Rs 10,500. Beneficiaries should call the BISP offices or the toll-free number 080026477 for any information or questions, according to BISP Secretary Amir Ali Ahmad.

Beginning in March, female students will receive the quarterly Benazir Education Stipends of Rs. 2500 for primary education, Rs. 3500 for secondary education, and Rs. 4500 for higher secondary education. However, at that time, male students will receive payments of Rs. 2000 for primary education, Rs. 3000 for secondary education, and Rs. 4000 for higher education.
When the girls finish their elementary schooling, they will receive a special incentive of Rs 3,000. A quarterly stipend of Rs 2500 will be provided to each Pregnant and Lactating Mother (PLW) and boy kid under the Benazir Nashonuma initiative, while Rs 3,000 will be paid to the girl child. However, PLWs and boy children in flood-affected districts would receive Rs 3500 each, while girl children will receive Rs 4,000. Through the distribution of these stipends, the Nashonuma program seeks to reduce stunting among PLW and their children under the age of two.

In exchange, pregnant women are required to eat specialized nutritious food (SNF), attend frequent prenatal health exams and awareness workshops, and accompany their children for routine health examinations and vaccinations.
