ISLAMABAD: In a move aimed at enhancing accessibility and convenience for Pakistani workers seeking employment opportunities abroad, the government of Pakistan has announced the opening of new protectorate offices across various cities worldwide.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis Jawad Sohrab, confirmed this significant development via a social media post. He emphasized that the number of protectorate offices is expanding from 9 to 14, reflecting the government’s commitment to facilitating its workforce.
The newly established offices will be strategically located in Sukkur, Islamabad, Bagh, Rawalakot, and Abbottabad. This expansion aims to reduce the burden on individuals who previously had to travel long distances to access protectorate services, incurring both inconvenience and added costs.
Sohrab highlighted that these offices will commence operations within 3-5 days, providing Pakistani workers with easy access to essential services near their homes. This initiative underscores the government’s dedication to streamlining the process of overseas employment, promoting safe and legal migration pathways.
Previously, individuals seeking protector endorsement on their passports had to visit specific centers corresponding to their area of origin. However, with the introduction of these new offices, thousands of Pakistanis aspiring for overseas employment will benefit from simplified procedures and improved accessibility.
