Relief items like wheat flour, rice, ghee, pulses, dates, sugar, salt, tea, tents, hygiene kits and other necessities were distributed among flood affectees by Qatar Charity during the distribution of aid to flood-affected areas in Dera Ismail Khan.
Qatar Charity, a humanitarian and development non-governmental organization (NGO) distributed here on Sunday relief items to the flood-affected families of village Kahawarr, Korri Jamal, Garah Tar Khuba, Kot Musa, Moga, Chaudhwan, Garah Naihr, Maru.
The relief items provided by the NGO included wheat flour, rice, ghee, pulses, dates, sugar, salt, tea, tents, hygiene kits and Non-food items
(NFI) kits.
Field Coordinator of Qatar Charity, Sajjad Khan told DAWN that Qatar Charity went through a comprehensive assessment process and see difficulties of flood victims of Daraban Tehsil and other flood-hit areas of Dera Ismail Khan after which we distribute relief items among more than 1100 families under the flood response project.
He said relief items are being provided to flood affected families in Dera Ismail Khan as well as in other districts i.e Charsadda, Nowshera and Swat.
He added that Qatar Charity will continue its work for flood-affected families with the generous support of donors who were donating funds for the flood affectees.
On this occasion, the residents of the area and the district administration appreciated this initiative of Qatar Charity.
