A recent survey has revealed that a significant portion of Pakistani youth even in the face of worsening economic situations, would prefer to remain in their country. The Voice of America Youth Survey indicates that they have little desire to travel overseas. A group of young people, ages 18 to 34, were asked if they would consider moving abroad.

In the negative, three out of every four respondents said they would rather remain in Pakistan. Merely 23% of the youth said that they intended to relocate abroad. They were individuals between the ages of 18 and 24 who were looking for better job prospects.
The age group, which consists of recent graduates and university students, has stated that they want to pursue higher education by studying overseas. In a same vein, those with salaries want a good life. The study found that 18% of young people in rural areas and 29% of youngsters in urban areas expressed a desire to leave the nation.

Rather than traveling to Europe or the US, they wished to visit Saudi Arabia. Going to the kingdom was prioritized by 41% of respondents. Only 4% of respondents indicated they would prefer to travel to the US; Canada was their second choice.
It’s interesting to note that the least amount of young people wishing to relocate was found in Balochistan. Noman Chatha, the CEO of NC Solicitors, stated that more employment prospects and a shared faith would be major factors in choosing Saudi Arabia.
The majority of students, he continued, believe that Canada and Australia offer superior quality of life, employment, and education. The chief executive of the Lahore-based consulting firm went on to say that the cultural and religious differences may be the reason Western nations were not selected.
