Dadu: More than 200 civil servants, including presiding officers and assistant presiding officers, failed to report for election duty in Dadu and Umerkot districts of Sindh on Wednesday.
The District Returning Officer (DRO) of Dadu stated that arrest warrants have been issued for the absentee employees, with 10 of them already arrested. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining absentees, with additional warrants being issued for those still missing.
The absence of these government employees has significantly disrupted the election process, causing difficulties in conducting the elections as planned. The DRO urged the absentees to promptly report to their assigned polling stations to fulfill their duty.
