ISLAMABAD: Sindh Nisar Durrani, a member of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), has spoken with the media about the possibility of extending the polling hours for the elections.
Speaking to reporters outside a polling place, Durrani said that although postal votes had been received, a final decision about an extension of the polling period will be considered at a later time.

Durrani conveyed his contentment with the current voting procedure and announced his plan to personally attend multiple polling places. He claims that everything has gone smoothly during the election process and that there haven’t been any major complaints filed yet.
Durrani made it clear that the local government made the decision to temporarily suspend cellphone services. He did, however, reassure the populace that the ECP would continue to function normally despite this disruption.

The Election Management System (EMS) would continue to operate even in the event of internet connectivity problems, according to earlier assertions made by ECP officials.
