Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Wednesday ruled out allying with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), whose independent candidates are leading with the most seats in the general elections 2024.
Jamaat-e-Islami also announced a sit-in protest against rigging in the recent elections. Deputy Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Liaquat Baloch said that JI will not form a coalition with Tehreek-e-Insaf in both the center and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The decision to not support PTI was made after consultation with Majlis Shura, Liaquat Baloch said.

Naib Amir JI requested Chief Justice of Pakisan to form a judicial commission on election rigging. The election commission is silent despite massive rigging and our candidates in KP were defeated by rigging, he addded.
Jamaat-e-Islami spokesperson, Qaiser Sharif stated that the election results were rigged on a large scale by hiding them at night, and the matters are being controlled from somewhere else.
