
LAHORE: As the heatwave continues to worsen throughout the province, Punjab School Education Department (SED) has issued an urgent alert for all the public and private school.
The institutions are being directed to take action to protect the children and the teachers from the heatwave, providing them with clean and cold drinking water. Students are required to drink at least eight to ten glasses of water to keep themselves hydrated.
Furthermore, Students are requested to stay indoors during the warmest hours of the day and stay away from any outside activity at that time. Schools must use fans and air coolers to enhance circulation and hold classes in well-ventilated spaces.
The advisory also directed the school administrations on the necessity of the awareness campaign about the heatwave. First Aid kits are being made necessary in every school with teachers to know how to handle the heatwave crises.
These steps are taken to shield the students’ safety and well-being in the current extreme situation of a heatwave, and the institutions are being directed to comply with the orders issued by the Department
