Common symptoms of adenovirus infection include a mild to moderate cough, fever exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit, runny nose, sore throat, pink eye, ear infection, chest infection or bronchitis, and in severe cases, pneumonia.

Adenoviruses can spread rapidly, particularly during the incubation period. Even after individuals begin to feel better, the virus can continue to spread for days or even weeks. Moreover, adenoviruses can survive on surfaces for extended periods, ranging from weeks to up to a month.

To prevent adenovirus infections, it is essential to practice good hygiene habits such as frequent handwashing, avoiding close contact with sick individuals, and regularly disinfecting frequently touched surfaces. These preventive measures are crucial in mitigating the spread of adenovirus and safeguarding public health.
